Natural Stone Care

At 3SM Marble and Granite, we believe natural stone is more than a surface — it’s a long-term investment in beauty, durability, and timeless design. Each slab is unique, shaped by nature and refined through craftsmanship.

With proper care and maintenance, your natural stone can last a lifetime while maintaining its elegance and character.

Routine Care

Clean your stone regularly using a pH-neutral cleaner specifically designed for natural stone. Avoid products that contain acids, vinegar, or bleach, as they can damage the surface and compromise the finish.

Use a soft cloth, sponge, or non-abrasive brush, and always dry the surface after cleaning to prevent residue or water marks.

Deep Cleaning

For heavier buildup such as grease or grime, use a stone-safe degreaser or heavy-duty cleaner. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully and always rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Avoid letting cleaning solutions sit for extended periods, and never allow liquids to remain on the surface longer than necessary.

Stain Prevention & Removal

Natural stone is porous and can stain if spills are not addressed quickly. Clean spills immediately, especially on lighter stones like marble and limestone.

For deeper stains, a stone-specific poultice may be used. However, some stains may require professional restoration depending on their depth and duration.

Understanding Natural Stone

Natural stone is a product of nature, no two slabs are exactly alike. Variations in color, veining, and texture are part of its beauty and uniqueness.

Some stones, especially marble and limestone, are sensitive to acidic substances, which can cause etching (a dulling of the surface). This is a natural reaction and part of the material’s character.

Our Commitment

At 3SM Marble and Granite, we guide our clients through proper stone selection, fabrication, and care. Our goal is to ensure your investment not only looks beautiful on day one, but continues to perform and impress for years to come.
